Strategies for PPEs (Parents, Professionals, & Educators)

  • “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

You, the person reading this, were created for a purpose. You are reading this and it applies to you. You were placed in that person’s life for a reason. The most important thing is to find your purpose.

Parents – With a daunting to-do list, you are the biggest advocate for your child. As an advocate you have the right to select supportive therapist for your child. Also, speaking up to insurance companies for change that can benefit your child and standing with other parents to create policy changes. Therapies cannot be successful without you. Your child has potential and it could be met with the correct resources…….

Professionals — Whether a BCBA, BCaBA, RBT or other professional you were trained (education, courses, and personal experience) to provide the services you are doing. The a of these services are socially significant and when implemented properly can promote positive outcomes and a good quality of life. The main goal is to become familiar and adhere to your ethical guidelines and engage in good moral behavior….

Educators — Disseminate information more often. You are the first to notice signs, changes in behavior, etc. Communicate to parents and recommend then to the appropriate source.

All roles have purpose. Not one is greater than the other. When these 3 work as a multidisciplinary team, a child progress can be elevated. The goals is to listen to each other and share ideas.

Whether you are a Parent, Professional, or Educator, remember that “Life has no limitations, except the one you make.” (Les Brown, 20….). You have a purpose and can make a difference.
